Tag

I have been tagged by Marnie, someone I thought was my friend. I have never been tagged before so I'm not really sure what I am suppose to do, but I will give it a try.

Here are 7 things about me -
  1. I like clean baseboards. I love the smell and feel of a clean room. I do not consider myself and good house keeper, but I know what clean is and clean is when ever the baseboards of a room are clean. Don't be checking out my baseboards, I am a few years behind with my house cleaning.
  2. I can not handle stressful movies. If there is any kind of stress in a movie, I can't handle it. If we are watching a movie at home I start walking around the house during the stressful parts, I can't even go in the other room and just forget about the movie. I have to know that everything turned out okay. What's stressful? Bambi's mother dying, way more than I could handle.
  3. I can never bake enough. I can bake night and day, and have at times, and still get up the next day and do it again. I love to bake. If I am worried about something or depressed or feeling overwhelmed with life, I bake.
  4. I love to dig in the dirt. I like the smell of good soil. I like composting, I really like to plant things and see the results of my work. I am by no means a good gardener or feel like I know what I'm doing, but I enjoy playing with the soil.
  5. I love the rain. I can never get enough rain. I am always sad when I am away and they have a good storm at home, because, just like the song says, "it never rains in California" and I hate missing it when it does. I don't even think it pours, the song is wrong.
  6. I like Caramel more than Chocolate. I do love, love chocolate, don't get me wrong, only I like caramel more. The only thing better than caramel, is caramel with chocolate, add some almonds to the mix and it is almost the perfect treat.
  7. I do not consider myself a "crafter". I love making things with my hands, but I don't think of myself as being really good at any one thing. Sewing is probable the craft I feel the most comfortable with, but I still don't consider myself all that great at sewing.

So there you have it, 7 things about me and now I tag Amber, Ashli, Lisa and everyone else who reads this and has a blog.

Christmas 2008

The holidays were a heavenly blur this year. In mid Dec Kaira, Tyler and the boys came into town and stayed through Christmas and all but Tyler were here until after New Year. As soon as their plane landed we were off and running, I mean it felt like we were running. I am not as young as I use to be.

There was Kloe's choir performance, neighborhood caroling, shopping, baking and exploring to be done.

We had our normal Christmas Eve with one exception, we added Tyler's Family tradition of going out to breakfast. I really like that one and I hope we keep it, Thank you, Thompsons!

We all enjoyed Christmas morning and being together. It was a little too exciting for Henry, who needed a nap half way through opening presents.

This was our 2nd Christmas with Kyle serving his mission in the Pennsylvania Pittsburgh mission for our church. We missed him, but we know his is where the Lord wants him and we look forward to having him back with us in June.

We had a wonderful time with the grandbabies here and we wish they lived closer.
